What Size Shimano Exage Plus line should I purchase?

Well that is the big question isn't it. First, ask yourself questions such as where you are going to be fishing. Are you fishing in lakes and rivers for light class fish such as bream, bass, flathead or trout? Are you fishing offshore for snapper or perhaps off the beach or rock platforms? Shimano Exage is available in quite a few different strains and our basic recommendation is that if you are fishing for the lighter class of fish in lakes and rivers to consider a line class between 6-10lb, if you fish off the beach or rocks then generally our better selling sizes and our general-purpose recommendation are 15-20lbs and for offshore boat fishing we usually find that strains between 20-40lb are our better picks to cover most offshore applications.
